Isabel Abalada Matos is a Partner in the Public Law, Urban Planning, Environment and Energy area.
She develops her activity in Public Law, Environmental Law, and Urban Planning, with a special focus on General Administrative Law, Urban Planning Law, Land-Use Planning Law, and Environmental Law, providing legal advice to public and private entities (national and international real estate developers, private equity funds, among others) and in the areas of industry, tourism, housing, and logistics, among others.
She graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, holds postgraduate training in Community Law, Environmental Law, Administrative Litigation, Public Procurement, and Negotiation, including advanced training at Harvard Law School.
She served as technical advisor to the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Land-Use Planning, having participated in the drafting of structural regulations and in territorial planning processes.
She was co-founder of LCA - Sociedade de Advogados, RL, and, from 2015, of AMMC Legal – Abalada Matos, Moraes Cardoso e Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, RL, firms that stood out in her practice areas.
She is a visiting professor, a regular speaker at scientific conferences, and author and co-author of several legal publications in the areas of urban planning, land-use planning, and the environment.
She has been part of Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2026.
