Alberto has deep expertise in commercial law and vast experience in M&A, contracting, and corporate governance, advising top clients in Spain and abroad. He specializes in commercial law, corporate law, and capital markets, with more than four decades of experience.
He has advised on numerous strategic transactions for listed companies, credit institutions, public enterprises, and foundations, as well as in arbitration proceedings related to contractual and corporate matters.
Before joining ECIJA, Alberto led the commercial law, corporate law, and corporate governance practices at prestigious firms such as Ramón y Cajal and Baker McKenzie.

He is a member of the governing boards of some of the most prestigious specialist journals as well as an author of monographs and articles on legal doctrine.
He is Chair Professor of Commercial Law and Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Complutense University of Madrid and he is a permanent member of the General Codification Commission of the Ministry of Justice.
