Alberto has solid experience in commercial law and corporate governance, which makes him a key advisor for clients in Spain and internationally.

Alberto is a lawyer specialized in commercial, corporate, and securities market law, with more than four decades of experience. He has advised on numerous strategic transactions for listed companies, credit institutions, public entities, and foundations, as well as in contractual and corporate arbitration.

Before joining ECIJA, Alberto was responsible for the commercial, corporate, and corporate governance areas at prestigious firms such as Ramón y Cajal and Baker McKenzie. His professional career has been recognized by international directories such as Chambers & Partners, which highlights him in his respective areas of practice.

His legal advisory experience is complemented by his career on the boards of major corporations. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Endesa, S.A., as well as the Audit, Compliance and Related-Party Transactions Committee of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. (2017–2020).

He is a member of the governing boards of some of the most prestigious specialist journals as well as an author of monographs and articles on legal doctrine.

He is Chair Professor of Commercial Law and Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Complutense University of Madrid and he is a permanent member of the General Codification Commission of the Ministry of Justice.
