Alonso Hurtado

Practice Areas

Alonso is an ECIJA partner at the areas of technologies, media and telecommunications and regulatory compliance. He has a professional career of more than 15 years in advising Spanish and leading international companies in technological law and information security, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance in these areas.

He has advised the Government of Spain on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the EU internal market and has extensive experience in advising public and private entities on data protection implementation, adaptation and audits.

Recognised by Chambers & Partners as one of the top Compliance lawyers in the Spanish market, Alonso was awarded the Iberian Lawyer Top 40 under Forty award in 2017/18.

He holds an LLB in Law (Licentiatura en Derecho), and an MA in Telecommunications Law and New Information Technologies from Carlos III University of Madrid. He has an MA in Biotechnology, Biomedicine and European Union Law from UNED. He also holds an MA in Occupational Risk Prevention from San Pablo CEU University. Alonso speaks English and Spanish.
