New UK legal ranking tables for 2024

Restructuring/Insolvency: Disputes
We have introduced a new R&I disputes table because of the recent growth in insolvencies and related disputes. Firms wishing to be considered for that table should submit to the main Restructuring/Insolvency: London section in February 2024. Firms outside of London should continue to include contentious work in their regionals submissions, as normal.
Employment: High Court Litigation
This year in Chambers UK we have introduced a spotlight Employment: High Court Litigation table. This has been prompted by an increase in high-value and complex employment litigation, much of which centres on team moves, breaches of restrictive covenants and the protection of confidential information. We will be accepting submissions for this category in February 2024.

Reconfigured UK legal ranking tables for 2024

Private Equity: Buyouts
We have changed the names of these tables. High-end Capability is now called £500 million and above. Mid Market is now called Up to £500 million.
Corporate/M&A outside of London
Most regions now contain tables called £25 million and above and £5 milllion and above, which replace the previous tables called Mid-Market & Private Equity, and Lower Mid Market.
Capital Markets and Real Estate Finance
These tables are now UK-wide to help buyers discover the top UK law firms and lawyers and are open to law firms and lawyers from around the UK.
Investment Funds
Secondaries now ranks firms and lawyers in distinct bands, while Venture Capital and Credit Funds rank lawyers in different tiers. Credit Funds also has a spotlight table for departments.
Sanctions
Previously a spotlight table in the 2023 guide, Sanctions now includes three tiers for both department and lawyer rankings.
Inquests and Public Inquiries
As these areas of UK law continue to grow, both of these tables now include bands for lawyers and law firms.
Financial Crime
Firms now have the opportunity to be ranked in Financial Crime: Private Prosecutions alongside our lawyers rankings.
Energy & Natural Resources
Mining: International and Mining: Domestic ranking tables now include department insights and analysis.
