Tim helps clients solve complex issues related to all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in all aspects of employment discrimination counseling and litigation (both class actions and individual claims) and traditional labor law counseling and litigation, including union avoidance, responding to unfair labor practice charges, grievance and arbitration matters, contract negotiation and interpretation, wage and hour claims (collective actions and individual claims), ERISA litigation, OSHA/TOSHA proceedings, covenants not to compete and FMLA. Tim regularly defends employers in various discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, non-competition agreements and wage and hour disputes in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He also provides proactive, day-to-day counseling to employers in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship with a focus on resolving issues before they become crises.

Joined Bass, Berry & Sims in 1986. Tim was the former Chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group.
