Cynthia N Sellers

Cindy Sellers is a deal lawyer with over 36 years of experience representing banks, public and private companies and investors in a variety of financial transactions. She has a concentration in healthcare lending, with a focus on syndicated transactions and in real estate lending. Cindy has closed more than $2.6 billion in syndicated loan transactions over the last three years.

With experience in syndicated senior credit facilities, mezzanine finance deals, asset based loans and commercial real estate financings, Cindy’s practice involves:

- Healthcare finance

- Debt finance

- Real estate finance

Cindy advises clients through all aspects of financing transactions, including negotiation of loan documents, due diligence and resolution of issues presented pre-closing, advising business clients regarding the impact of loan requirements or conditions, advising clients through the life of the loan as business opportunities or challenges arise, and working with lenders and companies on the downside of loans if they are not repaid as planned.

Joined Bass, Berry & Sims in 2006; from 2014-2022, Cindy served as chair of the firm’s Real Estate & Debt Finance Practice Group. She is the former assistant general counsel at Bank of America, where she was responsible for supporting Tennessee, Georgia and the Northeast in all aspects of real estate lending and mezzanine financing.
