Thomas Giotto concentrates his practice on representing management in many aspects of traditional labor, employment, and employment-related litigation, and provides daily counseling to help clients proactively mitigate labor and employment law risk. His traditional labor practice includes representing employers in union-organizing campaigns, proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, collective bargaining of renewal and shutdown agreements, and grievance arbitrations. He has represented employers in litigation involving race, sex, sexual harassment, age, and disability discrimination, and against claims alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA, enforcement of restrictive covenant agreements, wrongful discharge, and related common law claims. More recently, he has represented clients with large reductions in force involving WARN issues, unforeseeable business circumstances, negotiated shutdown agreements, and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filings.
