Luke concentrates his practice on complex construction and commercial disputes, representing clients in both litigation and arbitration. Luke prides himself on his responsiveness, creative thinking, and his personal investment in his clients’ success. His clients include domestic and international companies, private owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, distributors, and suppliers, often facing high-profile, multi-million dollar claims. He has substantial experience handling and evaluating complicated construction claims for some of the biggest players in the construction industry, including extensive experience with mechanics liens, stop payment notices, and payment bond claims. Luke also provides contract drafting, contract review, contract administration, and strategic advice to help his clients navigate and prevent disputes and minimize legal risks before they reach the dispute resolution stage.
Luke was a part of the team that represented two of the world’s largest global construction design/consulting firms to defeat a $100 million breach of contract claim. They achieved a unanimous award of nearly $5 million for the clients from an unpaid contract dispute involving a joint venture construction company in a jury trial lasting three months.
