Susan has more than 30 years of experience representing employers in all aspects of employment matters and is widely recognized as one of the leading employment lawyers in Florida. She is a recognized trial attorney having handled single plaintiff and class/collective actions in state and federal courts as well as arbitration. Susan is also widely known for her expertise with wage and hour issues and for many years was one of the authors of the premier treatise titled The Fair Labor Standards Act and is a founding member of the Wage and Hour Defense Institute. Susan provides advice to her clients regarding employment issues, including wage and hour audits, employee relations issues, and termination issues as well as informative and entertaining training. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Labor and Employment, a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an arbitrator, and Florida certified circuit court mediator. Susan is the Managing Partner of the Miami office of Cozen O’Connor. She was recognized in 2019 as an Influential Business Women and in 2020 she was named a “Lawyer of the Year: for labor and employment.
