For over 20 years, Ted has guided clients in relation to the strategic US and cross-border M&A transactions, and other corporate commercial matters, financings, and business matters.
Ted's extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions spans hundreds of deals, a wide variety of industries / sectors, and 60+ jurisdictions. Ted regularly represents corporate buyers and sellers, private equity firms, management teams, and multinational institutions on, inter alia, complex M&A transactions, investment rounds, asset disposal, spin-outs, leveraged recaps, and corporate restructurings.
In terms of private capital, Ted counsels private equity funds, growth capital and venture funds, family offices, institutional LPs, and GPs / management teams on their private capital investments, fund formations, refinancings, restructurings, and matters of dispute. In so doing, Ted leverages his in-house private equity experience to drive value for his private capital clients.
In addition to transactional work, Ted regularly structures and negotiates complex corporate-commercial contractual arrangements – including, inter alia, joint ventures and strategic partnerships; outsourcing, licensing, royalty, and profit sharing arrangements; and consortium / co-investments agreements. He also regularly advises clients in regard to reorganizations, dissolutions, corporate governance, contractual disputes, and other day-to-day business / contractual matters.
Ted is licensed in the states of Illinois and California, and has been a recognized attorney in The Legal 500 M&A for Middle-Market Transactions (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025), and for Technology Transactions (2023 and 2024). He and his team have also won ‘Cross-Border M&A Deal of the Year’ Awards from The M&A Advisor in 2024 and 2025. Ted currently serves as Co-Chair of Eversheds’ USA Private Equity Sub-Group, and prior to joining Eversheds served as the Chair of Cross-Border Transactions, Head of International Private Equity and Head of Private Equity (CEEMENA) of market-leading ‘Magic-Circle’ and ‘AMLAW’ 50 law firms.
