Career

Laura Ruiz is a partner (since 2021) in Pérez-Llorca’s Litigation & Arbitration practice with a strong focus on insolvency and corporate disputes. She advises debtors, creditors, shareholders and directors across pre-insolvency work, court endorsement of refinancing plans, clawback actions, challenges to inventories and creditor lists, and directors’ liability phases, including sales of production units and asset deals.

Laura also handles high-value civil and commercial litigation (energy, construction, distribution, directors’ liability, corporate and real estate matters, derivatives and tort) and acts in domestic and international arbitrations under CAM, CEA and ICC rules. Her international background includes a secondment in Stockholm with Mannheimer Swartling. She holds dual degrees in Law and Economics and a specialist diploma in Insolvency Law. Works in Spanish, English and basic French.e of the parties is in pre-insolvency or insolvency situations.
