Luís Roquette Geraldes

Luís Roquette Geraldes is a partner at the corporate and M&A department where he serves as head of Team Genesis and co-head of Private Equity.

He focuses on advising founders, high growth companies, and investors on transactional work in venture capital, private equity and M&A. Given the know-how amassed working in technology, life sciences and healthcare, Luís’s practice has become concentrated in IP-rich companies. With Team Genesis, he works daily alongside founders, investors and scalable emerging companies, helping them on an ongoing basis. His advice covers the full life cycle: fundraising, scaling and exits, predominantly cross-border.

Luís gained valuable experience in US and UK law at Skadden, Arps in the M&A and Corporate Finance department. He has also lectured at prestigious institutions, including at the Wharton MBA program and the London School of Economics, and was the convenor of the "Startup Life Cycle" course at Universidade Nova de Lisboa's LLM on tech law.

Luís speaks regularly at conferences, workshops at accelerators/incubators and university lectures on his areas of expertise as well as an author of articles. He is also a member of think tanks and other thought leadership initiatives.
