Juan specialises in EU law, competition law and regulatory matters, with extensive experience in Brussels and Madrid. He advises on joint ventures, strategic alliances, and merger control (both notification and third-party challenges), as well as abuse of dominance, cartel investigations and State aid cases. He regularly represents clients before the European Commission, EU Courts, Spanish Competition Authorities and domestic courts.
Juan is a partner (since 2018) in Pérez-Llorca’s EU & Competition practice. Prior to joining the firm, he led the Competition Law departments of both a Big Four and a leading international law firm.
