Julio is a dual-qualified lawyer (Spain and Mexico) with extensive experience advising on cross-border M&A and capital markets transactions. He regularly advises on the acquisition of private and listed companies, joint ventures, investment and shareholder agreements, and corporate governance matters. In capital markets, he has advised on IPOs, public offerings, underwritings, block trades and regulatory compliance for listed companies.
Notable matters include advising AENA on its IPO, Blackstone on the takeover and acquisition of Testa, CVC on its investment in Naturgy, L1 on its takeover of DIA, and Antin on the takeover bid for Opdenergy
Julio is a partner (since 2014) in Pérez-Llorca’s Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets practice. He joined the firm in 2005 and has served on its Management Board since 2020. In 2024, he was appointed Executive Partner, supporting the firm’s strategic development.
