With many years of experience in commercial transactions for United States and Latin American countries' clientele, Mr. Fernández-Reboredo’s engagements include: Corporate counselling and compliance monitoring to companies in the Caribbean and Latin America; counsel at numerous mergers and acquisitions in the retail and distribution level for real estate, technology, transportation and energy companies; assisted as counsel public governmental corporations and maritime companies before the Federal Maritime Commission; lead attorney for the Redistribution of the Puerto Nuevo Piers in San Juan, as requested by the Federal Maritime Commission; represented the state authority for transfer of the Mayagüez berthing facilities to the Mayagüez Port Commission in an intra-governmental transaction valued in US$57Million; represented an international insurance company to comply with all legal requirements for development and marketing certain extended warranty products for motor vehicles in Latin America; local counsel for multinational energy company bond issuance of US$1.2 Billion in coordination with 13 international jurisdictions, counsel for publicly traded corporation on fuel handling of liquified natural gas storage and distribution facilities for the Puerto Rico electric power energy system and other industrial companies.
