Edson López is Managing Partner and a leading figure in international arbitration, with expertise in strategic litigation, dispute resolution, and education law.

As Managing Partner of ECIJA Guatemala and Director of Arbitration for Central America and the Caribbean, Edson has participated in more than 60 arbitrations under both institutional and ad hoc rules, across sectors such as distribution, public procurement, technology, insurance, infrastructure, energy, and oil & gas. He has also acted as arbitrator in commercial and public contract disputes in various arbitration centers in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Peru, Bolivia, and China.

In the field of education law, he has advised over 500 private educational institutions and universities in Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Peru, providing strategies for school coexistence, crisis management, and efficient models for academic institution management.
