Career

He has taken several national and international courses and seminars, has been a university professor and author and co-author of several research papers.

He has directed the elaboration of the regulatory scheme and legal framework of the Seventh Oil Round. He has also been a consultant and participant in the Commission for the Elaboration of the Reforms to the Hydrocarbons Law and has participated as a legal advisor in projects in the electricity and oil sectors.

Vice-president of the Quito Chamber of Commerce (2004-2010), president of the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, Gonzalo is currently president of the Petroleum Commission of Ecuador.
