Daniel, partner at ECIJA Costa Rica in the areas of Labour and Human Rights, has extensive experience in corporate labour law and labour rights both nationally and regionally.
Career
He gained more than six years of experience in the practice of labour law in a specialised firm. From the elaboration of compensation schemes, review of working hours, to the handling of labour and sexual harassment cases, among others.
In the area of Human Rights, he has been an active member of the Inter-American Human Rights System and focuses his professional performance on the compliance of international Human Rights standards in companies.
His experience in these two fields makes him knowledgeable in the implementation of labour human rights. Mainly, compliance with the minimum labour rights established by the ILO, the OECD and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations.
Daniel assumed the position of Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) of ECIJA Costa Rica in 2020, with the objective of cultivating a work environment that respects diversity and inclusion.
In addition, Valverde is a contributor to Costa Rican media on labour law and human rights.
