Mariela is a partner with a recognized track record in litigation, taxation, and public law, specializing in regulatory risk management and dispute resolution.
With extensive experience in administrative and regulatory proceedings, Mariela leads the Tax and Public Law practices in Costa Rica. She is also a seasoned litigator in these areas, Mariela has advised companies across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, energy, construction, agribusiness, chemicals, and food production.
Mariela began her career as Legal Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Economy, Industry, and Commerce, where she actively participated in international forums on economic integration and consumer law.
She has also served as a postgraduate professor and thesis advisor at the University of Costa Rica.
