Guillermo is a partner in the Energy, Corporate/M&A, Foreign Investment, Real Estate and Infrastructure practice areas of ECIJA Costa Rica, where he has focused his practice on advising foreign and transnational companies in Costa Rica and Central America on corporate and investment matters.
Career
He has extensive experience in renewable energy projects and is recognized as one of the most experienced lawyers in this field in Costa Rica and Latin America.
He has advised clients in their dealings with governmental entities and private institutions in the design, installation and operation of renewable energy projects.
Guillermo has advised clients in due diligence processes, mergers, acquisitions and business expansions and has participated as director of Boards of Directors in Costa Rican companies.
With a Law and Economics degree from the University of Costa Rica and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Georgetown University, Guillermo is a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, the National Directorate of Notaries and the New York State Bar Association.
