She advises financial institutions, fund managers, payment institutions and market infrastructure providers on regulatory matters, supervision and inspection processes, sanctions proceedings, authorisation and registration procedures, and corporate governance. She has extensive experience in conduct rules, market abuse, AML/CTF, and in designing and implementing remediation and compliance frameworks for regulated entities and listed companies.
Career
Cristina is a partner (since 2025) in Pérez‑Llorca’s Financial Services & Investment Funds practice. With more than 20 years of experience in the sector, she advises financial institutions, fund managers, insurers and fintech companies on regulatory, supervisory, compliance and corporate governance matters. She is a State Attorney on leave and previously served before the Audiencia Nacional and at the Subdirección General de lo Contencioso de la Abogacía General del Estado. From 2010 to 2013, she was Director of the Litigation and Sanctions Department of the CNMV and also served as Deputy Secretary of its Board.
