Catherine McCarthy

Provides advice and counsel on energy regulatory and policy matters, focusing on representing asset owners, including owners and developers of renewable and conventional generation and electric transmission. Lead Counsel on: regulatory approvals for renewable energy projects for developers and investors, including passive investors; generation developer and transmission owner interconnection process support; Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state authorizations for mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and related transaction diligence; FERC compliance and enforcement matters; Independent System Operator centralized markets and transmission issues; and FERC transmission services and power sales rate, tariff and refund matters. In addition to FERC and state public utility commission regulatory advice, including the Public Utility Commission of Texas, experience includes representing energy clients on Department of Energy, Federal Communications Commission and Nuclear Regulatory Commission matters.
