Particular focus on representing asset owners, including owners and developers of renewable and conventional generation and electric transmission. Lead Counsel on: regulatory approvals for renewable energy projects for developers and investors, including passive investors; generation developer and transmission developer interconnection process support; Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state authorizations for mergers and acquisitions of energy companies and assets and related transaction diligence; FERC compliance and enforcement matters; FERC transmission and centralized markets issues; and FERC transmission services and power sales rate, tariff and refund matters. In addition to FERC and state public utility commission regulatory advice, including the Public Utility Commission of Texas, experience includes representing energy clients on Department of Energy, Federal Communications Commission and Nuclear Regulatory Commission matters.
