Career
Nicole Boeckmann is a skilled trial lawyer having joined Bracewell after a 20-year career at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York where she held several leadership positions including First Assistant United States Attorney, Acting Chief of the Criminal Division and Chief of the Long Island Division. She represents companies and individuals in complex criminal, regulatory and civil investigations throughout the United States, drawing on her extensive experience participating in more than 30 trials.
Nicole served in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York from 2004 through 2024, where she handled a wide variety of federal criminal and civil investigations including securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, FCPA, public corruption, health care fraud, False Claims Act, national security, cybercrime and export controls matters.
From 1997 to 2004, Nicole was an Assistant District Attorney for the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled all aspects of criminal prosecutions from investigation through trial. She tried 25 jury trials to verdict, including murder, attempted murder, assault, rape, robbery, burglary, weapons possessions and narcotics offenses. Nicole was also in the Sex Crimes Unit and has extensive experience working with victims of sexual assault.
