Band 6
Provided by Stephen Braga
He has four decades of experience representing individuals and companies in their most important government enforcement matters. Whether it be handling sensitive criminal investigations or litigating the fall-out from such investigations in court, Steve has the sound judgment and tactical skills needed by clients to survive those difficulties. He has played a leading role in many of the most high-profile white-collar matters in Washington, DC, including the representation of numerous Executive Branch and Congressional officials in addition to private individual and corporate clients. Steve was voted by his District of Columbia peers to be the 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for “Bet-The-Company Litigation.”
In addition to his white collar criminal defense expertise, Steve is accomplished in blue collar criminal defense as well, having led two teams of lawyers in decades-long litigations to free two innocent men (Marty Tankleff and Damien Echols) from wrongful incarcerations for murders they did not commit.
