She specialises in corporate law, with most of her expertise focused on structuring, negotiating and executing mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals and debt restructurings. In addition, she has extensive experience in Competition & Antitrust Law, in local issues (merger control and anticompetitive practices), as well as in cross-border transactions, having been involved in several market investigations related to different industry sectors.
Career
Prior to joining the firm, Aixa Sureda was an associate, and later a partner, at Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi in the General Corporate, the Mergers & Acquisitions and the Competition & Antitrust Law areas of practice (2002-2018), leading the Anticompetitive Practices Group. She was also a foreign associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, New York, during 2005-2006.

Aixa Sureda graduated from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1999 and obtained a Master of Law and Economics from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2002.

Experience
Aixa Sureda specializes in corporate law with most of her expertise focused on structuring and negotiating mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals and debt restructurings, rendering legal advice to investment banks and large corporations. Lately, she has participated in the design and the execution of highly complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, equity offerings, transfer of assets, start-ups, project financings, strategic alliances and joint ventures. As part of her practice, she has also provided general corporate advice, in particular concerning the structuring of contracts, reorganizations and corporate conflicts.
In addition, Aixa Sureda has extensive experience in Competition & Antitrust Law, so as in local issues (merger control and anticompetitive practices), as in cross-border transactions, having been involved in several market investigations related to different industry sectors (including credit cards, retail, maritime, oil & gas, and pvc tubing, among others). He regularly offers courses on compliance with Competition Law and was the President of the Competition Law Commission at the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
