Julio Ricardo Martínez

Julio Martínez specialises in international and local financial transactions, including Capital Markets, securitisations and project finance transactions. He is recognised for his experience on financial regulations and privacy laws. In addition, he has vast experience in advising foreign investors in Argentina, including mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law matters. Mr. Martinez also has significant experience advising oil and gas companies, in both the upstream and downstream businesses, and mining companies, and has unique credentials advising lenders and investors in mining and infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner (2001-2007) and an associate (1996-1998/2000-2001) with Estudio Beccar Varela. In addition, Mr. Martínez was a New York-based foreign associate with the international law firm Allen & Overy (1999-2000).

He is admitted to practice law in the City of Buenos Aires.

Julio Martínez graduated as an attorney from the Universidad de Belgrano in 1994. In 1995, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Oil & Gas Law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and in 1999 he obtained an LL.M. from the University of Texas at Austin.
