María Paula Terrel

María Paula Terrel specializes in corporate and mining law. She regularly advises clients in their day-to-day operations and in the analysis, acquisition and development of projects and assets in Argentina, acting for both sellers and buyers, including the development and financing of projects. She has vast experience assisting clients in the set-up of companies in the country, and in the execution of shareholders agreements, exploration, option and operation agreements, among others.

In the mining sector, she advises clients on all phases of mining projects, from exploration, development, financing, construction, exploitation and commercialization, and day-to-day operations and in the acquisition, development, financing, expansion and sale of projects and assets. She has intervened in several M&A transactions. She has vast experience advising in the lithium sector, in the acquisition and development of several projects in the country. She has advised clients in public tenders for the acquisition of tenements from provincial entities and in the negotiation of related agreements. She has participated in international financing of projects for the exploitation of natural resources in Argentina, and assisted several clients in cross-border financial deals of the mining sector, including equity financing and public takeovers.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2017, Ms. Terrel was a partner at HOLT Abogados (2008-2017). Previously, she was a junior partner at Estudio Beccar Varela (2000-2008).
