Javier Errecondo is an attorney specialized in financial law with vast experience in structured finance, project finance, capital markets (debt, equity and securitizations), sovereign and sub-sovereign debt operations, debt restructurings (sovereign and corporate), M&A and structuring of investment vehicles for private equity and private credit investments. He has more than 35 years of experience representing companies, financial institutions, both private and multilateral, investment banks, private equity fund managers, private credit and hedge funds, and high-net-worth individuals, in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico.
Career
Mr. Errecondo joined Mitrani Caballero in 2025 and has a leading role at the firm’s Banking & Finance, Capital Markets and Real State practices. Previously, he was a founding partner at EGFA (2004-2024). In 2016 he served as an external legal advisor to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Argentina in connection with the negotiations with the country’s “holdouts” and Argentina´s largest bond issuance. He also led the corporate finance practice at Bruchou, Fernandez Madero & Lombardi (1995-2004) and served as a foreign associate in Shearman & Sterling LLP’s New York office (1988-1992).
