Victor P Haley

Victor is Head of the Forestry and Natural Climate Solutions Group at Eversheds Sutherland. He represents a wide range of clients investing in timberlands in the US, Latin America and elsewhere around the world. He and his team are regularly involved in the largest transactions in this asset class, including acting as lead counsel representing the buyers in the largest private land transaction ever in the US, the acquisition of approximately five million acres of timberland in 12 states. Victor has extensive experience handling timberland financings, fiber supply agreements, conservation easements, mitigation banks and solar and wind projects. He also frequently assists clients in the development and operation of forestry carbon sequestration projects as well as the sale of the credits generated by such projects. More recently, Victor has been advising timberland owners with respect to the development of carbon capture and underground storage (CCUS) facilities on their timberlands, including the negotiation of pore space agreements.
