Career
Summer concentrates her practice on tax-exempt financings, tax credits, economic development, and governmental contracts at the federal, state, and local levels, with a particular focus on affordable and workforce housing development. She regularly represents governmental entities in bond issuances and public-private partnerships involving 4% and 9% low-income housing tax credit transactions, as well as middle-income/workforce housing transactions through housing authorities, public facility corporations and housing finance corporations. Her clients range from large urban cities and rural municipalities to counties and housing authorities across Texas, and she is committed to helping each identify and achieve their community development goals.
Summer also has experience advising purchasers, sellers, lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants across a broad range of real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and leases. In addition, she counsels clients on corporate governance, entity selection, and nonprofit matters.
