Mauricio sits on the Board of Directors of Colegio de Abogados Javerianos del Valle del Cauca. He holds a law degree and a specialisation in Labour Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá.

His notable mandates include advising CAF in litigation on the territorial application of Colombian labour law, supporting Nexans Colombia in restructuring and business unit analysis, and representing Cofco International and McCain in employment litigation and labour relations matters. He has counselled audiovisual companies including TIS Productions and Dynamo Productions on the labour aspects of film and television projects, and advised Sony Music, Indupalma, IGT, and Lulo Bank on labour strategies tailored to their sectoral needs.
