Work Highlights

Adriana has played a central role in some of Colombia’s most significant financial and corporate transactions. Her track record includes the public equity offering by Grupo de Energía de Bogotá, securities issuances by Isagen and Ecopetrol’s international bond offering, and the refinancing of Almacenes Éxito, Constructora Conconcreto, and Grupo Grasco. She advised on the Grupo Imsa share buyback and the structuring of the Taurus Capital private equity fund, as well as on the creation of alternative investment vehicles for BTG Pactual and the Viva Malls autonomous trust. Her work also spans infrastructure and credit matters, including Uniban’s involvement in the Puerto Antioquia project and the loan granted by SUAM to Exponencial Confirming.

Adriana Moreno Márquez is a partner in Pérez-Llorca’s Banking, Finance & Capital Markets practice and head of the firm’s Medellín office. With nearly three decades of experience, she advises financial institutions, corporations, and investors on complex transactions in capital markets, corporate reorganisations, syndicated loans, and privatisation processes. She has built a strong reputation in financial regulation and investment banking matters, with particular expertise in structuring investment vehicles and advising on regulatory frameworks for banks and brokerage firms.

Career

Adriana began her legal career in 1996. She held senior in-house positions at leading financial institutions including Corfinsura, Bancolombia, Serfinco Comisionista de Bolsa, and BTG Pactual, prior to joining Pérez-Llorca in 2013 and becoming a partner in 2018. She is recognised as a Leading Partner in Capital Markets by The Legal 500 2025, Highly Recommended by Leaders League 2025 for Startups and Innovation, and Highly Regarded by IFLR1000 2024 across Banking, M&A, and Capital Markets.

Personal

Adriana is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and regularly participates as a speaker at conferences and forums on financial regulation, capital markets, and M&A, and contributes to academic publications in her fields of expertise. She holds postgraduate degrees in Corporate Finance from Escuela de Ingenieros de Antioquia and in Tax Law from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, where she also obtained her law degree.
