William serves as Of Counsel of the Conflict Resolution & Investment Protection practice group. He has advised local and foreign companies for over 42 years in issues relating to complex commercial contracts, commercial distribution schemes, Colombian procedural law, and in general matters relating to business law. He has represented several companies in multiple proceedings before the ordinary jurisdiction and local arbitration tribunals in complex controversies. In the area of Conflict Resolution he has been involved in over 75 arbitration proceedings governed by the Chambers of Commerce of Bogotá, Medellín and Pereira, in claims for over 2.5 billion dollars. He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá’s A-list of arbitrators for more than 10 years. In the area of national litigation he has counseled and represented companies from the pharmaceutical, consumer goods and automotive sectors, and commerce and trade in general, in matters ranging from class actions, distribution claims, commercial agency agreements and consumer protection law to tort and contractual liability actions.
