Lina Uribe García is Partner and Head of the Corporate and M&A practice at Pérez-Llorca. With more than 25 years of experience, she focuses on private equity, joint ventures, and domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Her practice also encompasses corporate reorganisations including mergers, spin-offs, and transformations, as well as corporate governance and advisory to local and international clients across multiple sectors. In addition, she is part of the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources group, where she advises on the environmental law aspects of transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
Lina joined Gómez-Pinzón in 1997 and was named partner in 2011. Since 2025, she is partner as Perez-Llorca. She has consolidated her legal career at the intersection of corporate and transactional work, earning recognition from leading legal directories. Lina is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). She holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá; an LL.M. in Energy and Environment (with distinction) from Tulane University, New Orleans; and a Specialisation in Environmental Law and a Diploma in Corporate Law from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia.
Lina has advised on complex and high-value transactions in Colombia and across the region. Her experience includes advising on the acquisition of Carulla Vivero by Almacenes Éxito, the merger between SABMiller and Bavaria, and Avianca’s integrations with Grupo TACA and subsequently with SAI. She has also counselled Tetris Logística on the acquisition of a stake in Open Market, KKR on its acquisition of Colombia Telecomunicaciones’ fibre optic assets, and on the spin-offs of Caracol Televisión and Cine Colombia. More recent matters include advising on the acquisition of Centelsa by Nexans, Lamosa’s purchase of Eurocerámica and Cerámica San Lorenzo, and Acon’s acquisition of Grupo Ave’s holding companies.
