Mattias Garron

Mattias Garrón is a partner at PPO Indacochea and participates on the Corporate & Commercial and Regulatory teams.

His practice focuses on advising local and foreign companies with respect to corporate matters, as well as project development, mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment. In parallel, he has significant experience in commercial matters, having advised clients, of virtually all industries, regarding their commercial relationships.

He has extensive experience in complex negotiation of agreements in the energy sector. His practice within the natural resources sector focuses on the hydrocarbon and mining industries, where he led multinationals and local private companies to enter into agreements of great relevance and economic impact with public and private entities. Likewise, it also provides permanent legal advice to companies in these areas for their operations in Bolivia.

In the regulatory sphere, he has significant experience in administrative and regulatory matters, having held important positions in the public administration in regulators in charge of overseeing matters such as antitrust, corporate governance, telecommunications and transportation.

Prior to joining PPO Indacochea, Garrón was a Senior Associate at Ferrere. Also, he worked at Airbus in Spain. He also worked in the energy sector as legal counsel to AIR BP. In his most recent position, he was head of the legal analysis Unit at the Attorney General´s Office.

Mr. Garrón obtained his law degree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana, in La Paz, Bolivia, and a Master’s in Business Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in Spain. He also obtained postgraduate degrees from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad del Valle.
