Delma Paz

Delma Paz is a director of the Corporate & Commercial, M&A and Regulatory teams.

With respect to corporate law, she advises a large portfolio of clients on an ongoing basis regarding application of corporate governance practices, including clients in the transportation, ports and logistics, energy, pharmaceuticals, foreign trade, food and beverages and technology areas. She also regularly participates in complex transactions, including planning and implementation of company reorganizations, purchase/sale of company interests, legal due diligence processes, dissolutions and liquidations, and negotiation and drafting of shareholders’ agreements.

Within the commercial practice, she regularly advises local and foreign companies in the preparation and negotiation of complex commercial contracts, including distribution, agency and brokerage agreements, as well as in the drafting of joint venture agreements between local and foreign companies for participation in public bids and public procurement.

In the M&A practice, she has been leading relevant transactions and advising clients in the food, telecommunications, energy and general commercial sectors, including from the regulatory feasibility stage of the projects, the legal due diligence processes, negotiation of the transactional documents, as well as the planning and execution of the reorganization processes derived from the transactions.

Prior to joining PPO (2020), Delma was a senior associate at Ferrere (2015 - 2020) where she worked as an advisor mainly in corporate, commercial and M&A matters. Previously, Delma was a tax advisor at a prestigious law firm specializing in tax matters (2012 - 2015).
