Matthew Nielsen

Represents companies, boards, and individuals in internal and government investigations and litigation involving civil and criminal misconduct. He brings deep experience to matters involving public company accounting and disclosure issues, insider trading, securities fraud, healthcare fraud, U.S. export controls and sanctions, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and whistleblower complaints. He also regularly represents clients before — and in litigation with — the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the Department of the Treasury, and other federal and state agencies.
