He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, growth capital, and corporate governance for middle-market investment firms and strategic buyers and sellers of businesses. While Marty has experience in transactions with market values ranging from $10 million to $1 billion, the true value of his work is often best measured in terms of legal complexity and importance to his client.

Marty guides emerging and established companies as external counsel. In that capacity, he advises on equity and debt financings, M&A transactions, governance matters, intellectual property licensing, commercial agreements, and employment matters, helping businesses navigate growth, innovation, and strategic exits. He represents clients across a diverse set of industries, including technology, financial services and fintech, health care, specialty manufacturing and distribution, and digital media.

Marty has particular experience with large family-owned enterprises. Working with multiple stakeholders and other advisors, he regularly assists with the design and implementation of needed transitions and navigating challenging business and industry conditions.
