Luzmila Zegarra

Her practice focuses on providing legal advice on environmental regulatory matters to national and foreign companies from various sectors, as well as carrying out legal permitting plan for new projects or activities in progress, providing legal advice in sanctioning and judicial administrative procedures and advising for compliance with environmental and ocupacional health and safety obligations, with more than 15 years of experience in mining, oil, electricity, industry, transport and agroindustry sectors, among others.

Luzmila joined the firm as a Counselor in 2022. Previously, worked as Senior Associate and then as Partner at Delapuente Abogados (2009-2021) and also Attorney-at-Law in charge of the mining, environmental and mining safety area of the company Doe Run Peru (2005-2009).

She is a Lawyer from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, graduate of Master's Degree in Business Law at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias aplicadas (UPC) (2005-2006), she has a postgraduate degree in Natural Resources Law at Universidad de Lima (2007) and an Environmental Management, Safety and Supervision in mining operations Diploma by Colegio de Ingenieros – Capítulo de Ingeniería de Minas (2005). She has been a postgraduate professor in Corporate Environmental Law Program at Universidad del Pacífico, and she is a speaker at various training workshops on environmental legislation.

Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
