Practice Areas

Jeff focuses his practice exclusively on construction law and the construction industry, helping clients with the specific challenges they face before, during, and after project completion. Building upon years of experience in the industry before becoming an attorney, he brings practical and business-minded perspectives to the courtroom and the negotiation table on behalf of his clients. Jeff has counseled and represented owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals in all phases of construction projects and through the litigation and dispute resolution process. He leads litigation of significant construction claims, tries cases in state/federal courts and arbitrations, and negotiates design, construction and procurement contracts for major national and international projects. He has experience representing clients in disputes arising from a wide array of projects, including power plants, airports, mass transit systems, highways, pipelines, dams, and commercial and residential buildings. Additionally, he counsels clients on contract formation and mitigation before and during contract performance to identify, avoid, and resolve disputes as a means of preventative risk management.

Jeff is a frequent speaker and author on construction-related topics. He has presented before the American Bar Association and the Construction SuperConference and is a regular contributor to top ranked legal news outlets covering construction industry developments in litigation, legislation and transactions.
