J.P. Duffy is a globally recognized arbitration practitioner who has been acknowledged as one of the 10 “Most Highly Regarded” international arbitration partners in the Americas by WWL (now Lexology).
J.P. manages all aspects of the international arbitration process, from strategic clause drafting, to lead merits and hearing counsel, through award enforcement and recovery, and represents clients across a range of industries in international arbitrations conducted under all major arbitral rules, including those of the ICC, AAA/ICDR, LCIA, HKIAC, SIAC, DIAC, JAMS, ICSID and UNCITRAL, in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
He has extensive emerging market dispute resolution experience and, prior to joining Bracewell, practiced as a foreign legal consultant in the Dubai office of an international law firm. His international arbitration practice has a strong geographic focus on the MENA region, the Indian sub-continent, Africa and East Asia, with a focus on the life sciences, aerospace & defense, energy, technology, and brand/franchising sectors. J.P. is qualified in New York, England & Wales, and the DIFC Courts, and routinely sits as arbitrator in commercial disputes around the globe.
