Deborah M. Minkoff

Deborah M. Minkoff partners with insurance clients in high-profile liability coverage disputes. Her areas of expertise include healthcare professional liability coverage, professional liability/financial lines errors and omissions coverage, reinsurance, life sciences errors and omissions coverage, reinsurance, and integrated occurrence issues. Representative matters include litigation and mediation of coverage claims for opioid-related liability and litigation and mediation of coverage claims for alleged liability for failure to report/prevent sexual misconduct. Through strategically informed litigation, motion practice, and alternative dispute resolution, Deborah has eliminated or significantly reduced exposure for insurers and reinsurers for more than three decades. Deborah has authored an Appleman’s chapter on deductibles and self-insured retentions and speaks nationally on emerging coverage issues.

Deborah was the first reduced-hour attorney at the firm to achieve promotion to shareholder and management, and serves as a role model and active mentor to attorneys and clients.
