Bruce Ficken chairs Cozen O’Connor’s Construction Law Group, which was named Law360 Construction Practice Group of the year, and is a recognized authority in representing clients in construction and commercial litigation, as well as managing risk in construction projects. Bruce has first-chaired more than 70 major U.S.-based trials and international arbitrations. He has helped resolve some of the nation’s largest and most complex construction-related disputes of the last three decades, from redevelopment of the World Trade Center site to pipeline construction in the Marcellus Shale. He has been listed in the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for Construction since 2020. Named Best Lawyers’ 2017 and 2019 Philadelphia Construction “Lawyer of the Year,” Bruce also has the notable distinction of being one of the few construction litigators ever named a Fellow of the prestigious invitation-only American College of Trial Lawyers. In 2019, Bruce was named an “Influencer of Law” winner by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News, and Philly.com and named to the Philadelphia Business Journal's "Best of the Bar." Bruce is also listed in the 2023 City & State Pennsylvania's Power 100 Construction List (34th).
