Brian is Head of Department for the highly regarded Court of Protection team at Thomson Snell and Passmore, and a Director in the firm's trust corporation. He acts as deputy in high value catastrophic injury cases, dealing with all aspects of Court of Protection work, including contentious and non-contentious deputyship and statutory will applications. Brian regularly acts as an expert witness, preparing report (for both claimant and defendant litigation lawyers) in respect of costs in Court of Protection cases. He acts as a professional trustee, advising on personal injury trusts and related work where there may be issues of borderline capacity.
Career
Joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2000, following 4 years at a high street practice. Brian studied whilst working. Fellow of ILEX in 2003. Admitted as a solicitor in 2006; became a partner in 2011 and Head of Department in 2019
