James is a recognised litigation and international arbitration lawyer with a strong track record in successfully resolving complex commercial disputes across a broad range of business sectors. James has particular experience in resolving disputes for clients engaged in logistics and distribution, commodities, shipping, insurance, sale of goods and international trade. In addition to commercial litigation, James has conducted or co-ordinated proceedings in various jurisdictions under most of the major arbitral institutions and rules (including ICC, SCC, LCIA, LMAA). He has undertaken ad hoc arbitrations and has extensive experience of arbitration under the rules of the major trade associations (GAFTA, FOSFA, BCA, LME). He regularly acts for clients in court proceedings arising out of the conduct of arbitral proceedings.
