James undertakes all elements of clinical negligence and has been involved in cases involving, paraplegia, amputation, cerebral palsy, sepsis, cancer diagnosis, fatal injuries, erbs palsy, issues surrounding consent, various types of surgical negligence, cosmetic surgery, bariatric surgery, GP negligence, ICU negligence, PTSD brain injury, to name just a few. James' most recent settlements include a case involving negligent spinal surgery leaving the patient paraplegic, settling for over £4million, a case involving a brain injury caused by a delay in the diagnosis of sepsis, settling for over £2million, and a spinal injury case for a nurse following negligent microsurgery left her doubly incontinent.

Career

James has been at Thomson Snell & Passmore since 2006 and has built up comprehensive experience in multi-track litigation for both clinical negligence and personal injury.
