Andrea Pieschacón González

Andrea Pieschacón González is a Senior Associate in the Life Sciences and Intellectual Property & Competition practices at Pérez-Llorca. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, she has significant expertise in health and sanitary regulation, and advises national and international companies in highly regulated industries including pharmaceuticals, cannabis, medical devices, cosmetics, hygiene products, and biomedical equipment. Her practice encompasses sanitary registrations and notifications, health permits, homologations, and regulatory support for mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Andrea began her career in public and private sector roles within the commercial and industrial fields, including positions at international organisations and consulting firms. She subsequently spent nearly two decades at a recognised intellectual property firm before serving as Legal Director and General Secretary at a leading food company. Joining Gómez-Pinzón in 2017, she has gone on to play a key role in Pérez-Llorca’s Life Sciences practice. She has been recognised as a Leading Partner in Life Sciences by The Legal 500 2025 and an Associate to Watch by Chambers Latin America 2025.

Andrea is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). She holds a law degree and a specialisation in Commercial Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, and has undertaken further training in commercial procedures at (Universidad del Rosario, Colombia, and Bogotá Chamber of Commerce) and the regulation of medical cannabis (Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá). She has also completed courses on biosafety protocols and techno-vigilance.

Andrea has provided regulatory and sanitary advisory services to leading companies including Glenmark, PriceSmart, and Drypers, as well as multinational pharmaceutical, food, and healthcare companies. Her recent work has included managing biosafety protocol implementation and guiding clients through complex regulatory frameworks in Colombia and abroad via foreign correspondents. She regularly coordinates client relationships and regulatory processes before INVIMA, the Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos, and other relevant authorities.
