William Tuttle is an investment funds partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and focuses his practice on capital markets and corporate matters related to investment funds and investment advisers. Will regularly represents business development companies (BDCs), closed-end funds, investment advisers and investment banks in capital markets transactions. His experience also includes: fund formation matters for credit sponsors entering the retail market, including through BDCs and interval funds; strategic mergers and acquisitions and joint venture transactions, both at the sponsor and fund level; structuring feeder funds investing into BDCs and closed-end funds; and structuring bespoke credit-oriented investments for BDCs and closed-end funds.
Will’s representative clients include ARK Invest, Cliffwater, Gladstone, Oaktree and Varagon. In addition, he has represented all of the major investment banks in securities offerings by BDCs, including those sponsored by Blue Owl, Golub, Palmer Square, PennantPark and WhiteHorse.
