Adam R Alper

Adam Alper is a leading member of the intellectual property litigation group in Kirkland’s Bay Area office specializing in jury trials in high-stakes intellectual property cases. Focusing primarily on competitor versus competitor disputes, Adam represents plaintiffs and defendants in the semiconductor, telecommunications, computer hardware and pharmaceutical industries. Adam regularly litigates high-stakes competitor cases involving of patent, trade secret and copyright claims. These disputes often involve co-pending actions in US District Courts, before the USPTO PTAB and USITC, and international courts and are frequently litigated through the trial and post-trial phases. In recent years, Adam has secured over $2.5 billion in jury trial victories and settlements on behalf of his clients in IP litigations. Adam also led a client to a jury trial victory in what has been reported as the largest defense-side patent verdict in U.S. history. Adam has been recognized as a “Top IP Lawyer” (2014, 2018-2025) and a “Top Trade Secrets Lawyer” (2020-2023) by the Daily Journal and he was named a Trials "MVP of the Year" in 2020 and 2021 by Law360.
